It's weird that basically no one is talking about how this is just not working in majority of the games. Your usual websites are talking about how this has been added in the latest release, without actually checking if it's working.
Rdr 2 on Rtx 3080. I was fortunate enough to get my hands on an rtx 3080 and upgraded my whole rig as well. Currently using a ryzen 7 3700x, 16 gb of 3600 mhz ram and an m2 ssd. with all settings maxed, including the advanced settings and taa on high, fxaa on and msaa x2 on 1440p i hit around 50 fps on average. thats with nvidia image

On paper, it’s easy to see this as a company skimping on modern features, but I think that’s an extremely uncharitable reading of a measured and justified response to contemporary pressures. Features like ray-tracing and DLSS definitely improve certain games, but it’s not as if they need to become some kind of industry standard.
Not sure why this is getting downvoted to shit. I have a 4090 and a 7800X3D with 64GB of Ram. It's pretty much the best gaming system you can buy within reason and if I turn everything to max (including path tracing and the specially little bells and whistles that are "only tech demos") then you only get about 20fps. Stop downvoting facts.
